Raiders Under Contract: G Dylan Parham

Las Vegas Raiders guard Dylan Parham has panned out as one of the team's better draft picks in recent years.

Selected in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Parham was signed by the Raiders to a $5.1-million rookie contract. He has since played every game for the Silver and Black over the past two seasons.

Parham's availability has been especially valuable for a Raiders team that has struggled with staying healthy on the offensive line.

This season, Parham was joined by fellow guard Greg Van Roten, who was a pleasant surprise for Las Vegas, and as a result, could be seeing a lot of offers in free agency this offseason. In the event, Van Roten decides to go elsewhere, Parham will be given the challenge of leading the guard position, a task he doesn't seem quite ready for when looking at his 2023 campaign.

While Parham is reliable in terms of health, he finished the season as the lowest-graded starter on the Raiders' O-line by Pro Football Focus (60.4). Even so, the 24-year-old guard allowed just one sack the entire season.

This season was frankly a step in the wrong direction for Parham, who had been one of the better starters on an O-line that helped Raiders running back Josh Jacobs attain the league's rushing title in Parham's rookie season.

One bright spot for Parham this year was his versatility, which came to use in Week 15 when he started at center in place of an injured Andre James. Las Vegas would go on to win that game, 63-21, against the Los Angeles Chargers.

This next season will be a big one for Parham, who needs to take that next step. The tools are all there. He has shown signs of tremendous potential; perhaps he just needs a little more time to develop.

With 34 starts under his belt in just two seasons, Parham certainly has the experience, which should be very beneficial for his growth heading into Year 3.

From February 27 to March 4, 2024, the NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
